Over 2,600 startups, 1,500 venture capitalists, 20,000 participants, and 600 journalists from over 130 countries gathered to Slush to drive business and innovation. KickCity was one of the participating startups and benefited a lot from the event. It was held in Helsinki, Finland.
Last year after SLUSH, KickCity got a grant from the government of Helsinki through NewCo accelerator. This year, we started our SLUSH with a meeting with NewCo, we showcased our products and discussed further partnership and support. We are proud to announce that from Next Year, KickCity will be powering all events supported by NewCO in Helsinki.

Thereafter, KickCity was invited to a private dinner organized by the USA Embassy in Helsinki. The Host was Donna Welton, the Charge d’Affairs of the US Embassy in Helsinki. She encouraged business development and partnership among startups, investors and corporates. The reception dinner was more about networking. We met with lots of investors and potential partners who run events in Helsinki. One of them said: “This is exactly the solution I am looking for. Selling tickets is becoming a herculean task and we look forward to utilizing KickCity inorder to increase sale and also engage our client base. The real problem in the industry is ticket sales and not many people understand this.”

The Next day of SLUSH was filled with exciting moments. We met with the business development manager at Eventbrite — Friederike Krause and for almost an hour talked about the event industry. We explained our technology and she was excited about how we are approaching the problem. For us, this is a very big step as we are in contact with the biggest player in the industry. We look forward to integrating KickCity protocols to Eventbrite platform and be the main token for event promotion. Our meeting was another factor that proved that we are solving the right problem for the industry. Event organizers need more sales than never before. Adds on Facebook is not yielding the expected results. KickCity token will allow event organizers sell more tickets by engaging and motivating their audience to promote events and attend events together while earning crypto tokens.

Furthermore, KickCity is sure of at least $500,000 worth of revenue next year. We met with many event organizers who can’t wait to start using our platform. Most of them are based in Europe. A good number of these event organizers run at least 10,000 events per year. It’s very important to note that we already have a working platform. We are improving the platform and testing on Ethereum main net. We plan to run a crowd sale event on the 1st of February. By then KickCity Platform will be functioning perfectly. The value of most tokens fall in the exchange because they do not have any product and their is no need of those tokens. Blockchain technology will become mainstream when there are real use cases not just as an investment option. At KickCity, we are focused on building a technology that will bring everyday internet user on Blockchain. It’s interesting to see how event organizers are jumping and willing to start using our solutions. We will keep working hard to create high demand of KickCity tokens and bring about mass adoption of crypto transaction.

We also had a meeting with Alistair Farrugia from Malta Communication Authority (MCA). The Blockchain Island of Malta has been very friendly to our our company. It’s one of the reasons we have decided to run our crowd sale from Malta. It’s amazing when you are directly in contact with the regulators and they are willing to use your products.
Also, we met with many Asian potential users, partners and friends. We are looking a future where KickCity is an international multi-billion dollar company in events marketing and creating value by rewarding users for being awesome.
