I have since cleaned up the mess and fired the kiln ( no mouse in the house) !

Oh dear! Life in the countryside has its challenges. Recently a mouse ate the water supply hose of my washing machine in the basement. I think your mouse must be suffering from respiration problems by now. I never had mice nibble at my pots waiting to be fired in the barn though.
But when I switch on the ventilation of my car , tiny bits of kleenex fly around. The garage told me it would cost €600 to remove the nest from the ventilation hoses, so I let it be. Now I understand why my dog crawled under the car and kept barking.
