i always found Gracie to be very boring in the ring, but there was no denying the effectiveness of his tactics. I think one of the Gracies recently (like in the last 5 years) made a run at UFC but wasn't able to compete and his opponents would actually help him up from time to time, out of respect... I can't recall who it was.
