Only recently have I obtained my first official job, and obviously this has given me some money to play around with... And thus is born my first high(ish) quality EDC knife.

The Spyderco Endura features an Emerson wave opener, which deploys the knife right out of the pocket draw. It's incredibly fast, and works by hooking on the lip of your pocket, which means it's technically not an automatic knife.

The grip is spectacular. It's made up of multiple "ridges" that spin around the center, providing perfect friction for inward and outward actions. You can see this in the photo attached above.

And when you have a great grip you need a great edge, which this Spyderco provides. Razor sharp even off the manufacturing line. Slices paper swiftly, and I'm confident it'll put a good dent in anything I throw at it.

Even though this is my first "high quality" EDC knife, I am very satisfied with the purchase. Definite recommendation from me at the fair price of ~$80.

Nice knife. I carry an unbranded, 4 inch pocket knife with wooden handle that I inherited from my dad. It's about 60 years old and the quality is still amazing. He bought it in South Africa but no idea who made it.

That's really unique!
