The importance of knowledge: Anyone with wisdom knows what makes good sense, but fools can never make up their minds. Proverbs 17:24

The Book of Proverbs, like every sapiential book, teaches the importance of acquiring knowledge, because with the study of science also appears something very important, the common sense, that is, the mind's ability to understand what "fits".
That is to say, wisdom allows men to focus the mind on what really matters and not on the deceptive appearances that are presented to the reason of man; happiness as a desire of the human soul is what has led many to ruin, those who blindly pursue happiness are ignorant people. In fact, the concept of false happiness is something that was repeatedly taught by all the prophets when they warned the people of Israel about the wrong path.
And a very simple example of this is the fable of the ant and the grasshopper that is taught to children, bees and ants have always been used in the Bible as examples of the importance of wisdom to live: "Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer" Proverbs 30:25.
The man who has wisdom really knows what he wants, whereas the one who does not possess it lives confused and depends on what luck provides. This is why the Book of Proverbs teaches an important reflection to always keep in mind and not to forget: "Anyone with wisdom knows what makes good sense, but fools can never make up their minds" Proverbs 17:24.
Wisdom can be taught and therefore so can common sense, this is why education in the modern world is so relevant, teaching wisdom is to teach how to make assertive decisions. Societies that succeed in teaching this science correctly are the societies that achieve prosperity and success. Despite the great technological advances, teaching wisdom remains the greatest challenge of the modern world.
