Right now, more than ever we need to slap the Steem logo onto cute things of all kinds to create happy associations in our minds. Puppies, kittens, hedgehogs, flowers, unicorns, rainbows and other cute things are perfect for building happy associations.

Let's forget about the trending pages and the little flagwars! Let's keep drinking the Kool-Aid. Let's not worry about how the algorithms need to be fixed, let's find another cute puppy to incorporate into the Steem graphical universe.

Let's create stickers, decals and labels out of these happy association artwork and spread the Steem all over the land.

You may be confused if I am joking, being sarcastic or being honest.

I am confused, too.

The only thing I know is that I've just prepped another pitcher of blue Kool-Aid and the empty Kool-Aid wrapper lies on the floor. I think the Steem logo is printed on the front.

The question still remains though: who in Steemit, Inc. is most like Steve Jobs? Steemit needs a master of design and simplicity to make it really grow.

Right now this is how Steemit is being perceived by a lot of people who are outside of Steemit (plus plenty inside it):

Let's keep listening to those who are critical so we can turn Steemit into this:

You're welcome. ;)

best part is the subtle steem logo on the bottles!

You noticed!

what do you think of the new format with kool-aid bleeding into the text?

Hoooly shit, I love it!

ha ha ha ha.....after this many years there has to be a more creative way to make a post!!!!!!!

I know, I feel the same.
Buuut, all things have to have a beginning....and some of the best things take a long ass time to begin. Haha

Seems as if you have accomplished that! :D

i feel like i'm stuck in 1998 on here sometimes......... but I'm not complaining....just waiting for the mobile app.

I don't know if you're joking or not, but I think that if the community wants to grow up and open the door to the rest of the world, it have to listen any criticism (with a bit the "savoir-faire", if it's possible ^_^ ) and share the love for Steemit.com using kitties/unicorns/glittery stickers. Ok, the last thing is a joke, but I like it ;)

i think my post is a little bit of everything.
I want to believe that unicorns exist even though I can see the tape that holds the horn on.

The unicorns exist, trust me, they're wainting for the best moment to show themself ;) Thanks so much, @Stellabelle !

no problem! Thanks for commenting! I'll be looking for your steem unicorns now.

You always surprise us with your unparalleled creativity, unlimited passive aggressiveness and unbounded shallowness. Is there no limit to your talents?

i changed this post!........check out a new trend on steemit.

So really I love the community steemit :)

I'm mentioning Steemit to various people. I want to spread the love!!!

i know you are.

Cheers! Just been selling it to another former Tsu user. The only way is up

another great post from you! steemit is amazing

go check your wallet.

wow super thanks !!!

I see your Kool-Aid pitcher is empty. You just drank a gallon!
Time for a refill!

I still think Steemit has great potential, so I guess I must have had some of that Kool-Aid!

Partly inspired by this post of yours from a couple of weeks ago:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@stellabelle/sort-by-total-human-eyeball-views-tab-a-request-to-the-devs
I did a little experiment of my own, writing an "article style" post and releasing it to the usual places I distribute blog posts, Medium articles and so forth... wanted to see if people would be less likely to read something on a site they'd never heard of. It took about 72 hours for the post to roll past 1000 page views, so clearly the answer is "no," as my normal posts here get about 50-ish views or less.

These were not bots, they were human readers. Among other things, it was shared 56 times on Facebook.

A couple of "issues" arose, along the way. First, I realize that I have no way of knowing whether any of them chose to create Steemit accounts (aside from one guy who commented as the only action ever on a brand new account), making me question whether the time is ripe for someone to create an... "association tracker" of some sort... maybe a new/separate "connections" or "referrals" category separate from followers/following? It wouldn't be rocket science to code it... our usernames are already part of the unique URL for posts.

Leading to the second issue of "even if someone did sign up from my article, I have no way to send them a message to thank them and offer them encouragement to publish their own stuff on Steemit." We really do need an integrated message system here.

Now I realize some will read this and say "WHATever.... blah, blah, blah, blockchain, blah, blah, blockchain, blah, blah, blah..." and I'll even say "I agree"... to a point. That point being "If yer wanted a pure crypto/blockchain venture, yer shouldn't have dressed it up as a social media platform, and then NOT want to deal with developing the social parts!"

OK. Sorry I went off a bit, there.

/end soapbox.

"even if someone did sign up from my article, I have no way to send them a message to thank them and offer them encouragement to publish their own stuff on Steemit."

I agree with you! Not too many social connecting tools have been made! It is ripe for development.

Hey-- thanks for the "tip!"

(See what I did there? Another example of a message system being really useful....)

i didn't see what you did. What did you do?

Meh... my bad. Made an example of the fact that we need a message system. I would have thanked you via PM instead of in this thread.

Busy.org has a private message function

so m00n!

yes!!!!!!!! Can you post your version of Kool-Aid here too? Yours was THE inspiration!

new trend on steemit...kool-aid bleeding into text.

Im no artist but Im doing all I can to get Steem into mainstream direccion :)

yeah, we all have to do our part, as it won't happen by itself....

Hahaha u suck :) thanks 😙

wait, why do i "suck"?

Just my way of saying thanks ;) i didnt expect to get tipped for my lame comment. Have a great day and keep up the brilliant posting!

wow, that's a weird way of saying thanks.....saying 'you suck' is a pretty significant INSULT.

No insult sorry hope you didnt misunderstand my sarcastic humor makes little or no sense at times. Im superhappy to receive 5 steem to power up :) If only all were so generous ....

you caught me on a surprise generous day. Not all days are made from Kool-Aid!

@stellabelle Thank you for the gift :)

you're welcome! Thanks for commenting on my Kool-Aid post!

It's all about perseverance.

Hello!

Is this your oldest post - i can't scroll any further!?

I'm looking at some of the orignal posts of some steemit superstars and wish to include you :)

Thanks!

Asher @abh12345

did it get sorted out?

I've tried again to go back in time but only get as far as:

https://steemit.com/koolaid/@stellabelle/steem-kool-aid-for-all

I'm sure there is more!

this is as far back as it goes? that's nuts!

Yes I assumed the blockchain would have all everyones posts readily available! I was working up to a mildly amusing set of research, but even @aggroed's post history is only 3 months.

I was going to do a 'Where were they then?' skit on 'where are they now?'...

Check out the first look back in time - 'everybody has to start somewhere' :D D
