He is Steam It 'Whale' (referring to Power Steamion with influence in Steam It). Since I started using Steam It in July last year, I have built up my influence and reputation by creating and supporting various projects. However, the name '@ bramd' (bramd) is well known, but the story about the protagonist is unfamiliar. I met Lee Dae-seung, who is a "behind-the-scenes person" who builds a Korean Steamit community in silence.
The first impression was like that cover with glasses. The image resembles the eyes full of curiosity, the voice explaining logically calmly.
- I was amazed that I was much younger than I imagined.
= It is different from what I first imagined. There are many people who imagine that they are older, middle-aged, and even think about 'grandma'.
- "Grandma" image is surprising ...
It seems to have been because I had previously wanted to take on the role of grandmother in posting. I wanted to be a grandmother in a lecture by an educator (Sugata Mitra) at the 2013 TED lecture stage. I thought that the role of 'grandmother' in children's background and curiosity in the ideal school where children learn from each other and explore each other in a given environment was what Steim did in the past.
Satisfied with Steam It project planner role rather than ophthalmologist
- What are some of the most prominent projects in Steam?
The first use of SteamOut was to learn about the block chain and get relevant information. However, there was a lack of information in Korean. The gap between overseas and domestic information is so great that we started to make it (KEEP! T / @ kepit) because we need to communicate overseas news to ourselves. At first I was alone and I got a couple of people, so I increased my writing. Now I have more than ten writers. The field has grown into a kind of media that covers not only block chains, but also economic, technical, medical, and social impacts. It seems that the power that has been steadily serialized for a year has been great. Recently, we have also published electronic books called block-chain common sense dictionaries and have been accumulating achievements.
[Medi Team] (https://mediteam.us) is also a project of attachment. Early Ste Wits thought it was necessary for women to participate because it was a young male-centered community interested in the block chain. The Medi team took the first step in raising information about pediatrics and obstetrics to help women. Originally it was an eye specialist, so it was relatively difficult to collect colleagues. At present, the field of specialization has expanded, and pharmacology, law, and biomedical experts have participated in more than two dozen writers. We plan to continue various experiments such as publishing content in English in the future.
- It seems to be an indispensable project that is easy to use and gives detailed instructions to Steamit users.
Actually Steamit is not a friendly environment for novice users. Because it is a new platform called block chain, we have to understand basic concept and cryptographic system, and there is much to study. It is not easy to explain what you want to recommend to people around you.
This consensus was naturally formed among early users, and a group of hard-working people came together to create a project to create detailed guides. PDF eBooks are the first guide to Steum It users and will soon be published as paper books.
(In addition to this, bramd is making various projects such as channel Steamit which changes text information to voice for aiming AI speaker age and Manamain project which aims 'Live media to communicate with writer'.
Steamit, the optimal laboratory space to continue the project without capital investment
- What inspired you to do various projects in SteamIT?
Whether it is due to the characteristics of Steamit Community ... It is a space where people with various fields of expertise gather and basically curiosity about new flow. So, various attempts have been made, and there is a culture that helps each other to say "dura" or village ecosystem. It is an atmosphere that welcomes new arrivals and finds things that can be done naturally through open communication. It seems that this attractive ecosystem has been able to keep things going.
Certain projects have been maintained for over a year without capital or investment. I do not even meet it, I work with people who know ID only. Steamit is a meaningful space just by creating such an impossible thing offline.
- It seems to have gotten into the charm of steam it. On the one hand, there seem to be a lot of negative opinions about Steam It's future prospects. What do you think?
= It is true that there are various difficulties and points to be improved such as difficulty of introduction of new users, low participation rate due to declining value of cipher money recently. However, it seems difficult to find a better platform to communicate ideas and ideas with others in the head.
If you write first, you will get the basic power to continue the project by getting a minimum basic income through voting. All of this is done within the platform. There is no need to create a separate settlement system.
If you have done a lot of work over the last year or so in the company, how much would it cost? It was natural to lease steam power, share opinions, write about it, give power through boating, and find better ways.
From now on, it is time to think about how to connect the Steamit Community with the external ecosystem, and how to create greater value.
- Describe the projects you are focusing on, or your personal interests.
I would like to do things vertically integrating and linking what I have experimented with in previous projects - contributions of experts - ebook publishing - distribution structure based on steam money. I think we should grow into business rather than just trying it in the steam ecosystem.
Recently, I participated in the process of creating and launching a company called Manama. It aims to be a "living media that communicates with the artist". I would like to make a good case to integrate the whole process by collecting high quality contents with experience and opinions of experts, making basic rewards based on Steam It, publishing it as e-book, making it as a book and actually selling it.
After the interview with Lee Dae-seung, two words remained in my head. It was consistency and development. I think he can express what he has done so far in Steamit Community, and what he has to do. People who have the same interests gather together to make a progressive direction, to keep things going! The result is expected to be the future of SteamIT.
