Electronics Heavywieght LG is taking on R3 Distributed Ledger software

LG CNS, an IT subsidiary of Korean electronics giant LG company, has announced it's far increasing its cognizance on blockchain era.

Korean media source suggested this week that LG CNS is running on a blockchain-primarily based finance platform, built using R3's allotted ledger software Corda – a machine they selected due to the selective data disclosure and time efficiencies it allows.

The company plans in addition to enlarge its current digital finance business through setting up a virtual monetary center on 1st July, at the same time as ramping up the variety of professionals it employs to help the initiative.

Actually, this notion may be read as the modern day sign of Korea that there's developing interest in blockchain technology from each personal and public sectors. to date, logistics offerings, finance startups and the primary bank have all openly discussed initiatives and pilot initiatives.

Why is Korea so into cryptocurrencies?
