So did you a post in English first and then redo it in Korean? Just want to make sure.

And if so how did the Korean version do payment wise against the original English version?

I wrote Steemit is A Test in English. That one did very well, making it to trending page. So, I chose that one to get translated. I am fairly sure it won't do as well in Korean....obviously because I don't speak it.

Because your Korean posting is really perpact!

I posted about 40% of my earnings on how I contributed to the community yesterday.

I am currently writing one writer every week, giving a Si Project celebration (100SBD) and making his writing full power voting + all resteem.

And I wrote that people who earn more income should share more in steemitt.
I think 50% would like to have a culture of donating for others.
I will try harder for newbie.

This was my one year thoughts and actions.
By the way, today I read a lot of your thoughts about the future of steemit.
I think there is more work to do in the future.
So I think you need a steemit leader like you and hope you get better!

there are many reasons, but the top reason is that there are more Steemit users from Seoul Korea than any other city in the world. The second reason is that I have a degree in Asian Studies, and I speak Japanese (I'll be getting translations of my top ones into Japanese too). I've lived in Asia and I'm familiar with the culture. I see the need to bridge the divide between USA and Asia, so this a great opportunity to do so. I am considering having my best articles translated into Japanese and Korean, and having a different account for that....still trying to decide.
Third reason is simple: most of the Korean community probably doesn't understand the history of Steem, and why and how the founders, @ned and @dantheman created Steem. Education is a big part as well.

So awesome! I'm really glad to see it. I'm very encouraged you can buy and sell this service on steemit. It warms my heart.

I think your project should be a big hit and you obviously have appropriate content. You are so right about the need for connection. You will be rare as a Westerner reaching out. I read the kr posts that have English at times and there are some super good people posting. I'm sure you are already connected with them.

My son learned very basic written Korean for some class and he said it was easy, but it sure does not look like it to me.

Personally, i think the reason that S. Korean and Japan are adopting Bitcoin faster than other countries is because their governments are more friendly towards cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was made a legal currency in Japan in April of 2017 and it was the very first country to do so. I think this could be one very big reason that crypto is getting boosted....many Westerners have very little clue about what is happening in Asia, as far as economics.

I'm thinking the average person in the us will be far behind the curve on crypto. Too much fear over there.

Awesome, I'm really looking forward to reading her articles, especially the one regarding interracial dating. I have a couple of cousins who are half Chinese and they've had to deal with being "exoticised" (I'm sure that's not a word) all their adult lives.

How language fascinates me!
To think that someone somewhere can understand all those symbols (mind blowing)! Good one though, you'll be able to reach a larger community. I guess we should all be thinking along these lines.

Well, I have good reasons to engage with the Asian community as I lived in Japan many different times, and I speak Japanese (at a low level now....). The Japanese pop culture is really bizarre and interesting, plus they are leading the way towards Bitcoin adoption. Many reasons to be inspired by Asia now.

It's because the google translator is not very good at translating the english language in to asian languages. If it was French, Italian, or some other Europian based language, it'll be easier to use a google translator. But really.. I'm not saying this just cause I am a translator, but google translator sucks at translating when it comes to Korean.

This is great for the community because some individuals may not be able to understand English as well, and translations do come in handy . We share knowlege among one another which is awesome ! If I knew how to write in Arabic , I'd also do that but unfortunate this is that I can only read it

To be honest I wouldn´t blog in two or even more languages especially if you don´t use them in daily life.
Most people understand English and you already have a very established blog.
I know Korean and Chinese is a very big "market" but if you translate something your style of your blog will always change. there are just too many different sentences or for example saws that you are not able to translate 1:1.
Just my two cents as a minnow.

I've had some people asking me if they could translate my posts for themselves. I said they can do it but they will have to credit me in some way.

It makes me think how many people may convert a post to another language with no one knowing haha

Great to see you are able that your posts can appeal to a lager demographic rather than be restricted to English speakers.

When I am in a stable place on Steemit I may start getting someone to translate my posts for me so I have a larger audience and I can interact with more people @stellabelle

I let people translate my posts into foreign languages, as long as they give me credit and also link to my original article. I wanted to pay her for translation because I wanted to post this translation on my own account. I'm still toying with the idea of having a Korean and Japanese translated account......not sure about this though.
