Vakilov, the son of Samad Yusif, opened his eyes on a world in a small town called Gazah(region) on March 21st, 1906. The 300-year history of the lawyer, and then the Vekilovs, is known. The poet's mother is also from that generation. The warriors, educators, doctors, and poets have grown up. They lived and worked in Gazakh, Tiflis and elsewhere in Tsarist Russia. The poet's father, Yusif Agha, lives in Gazakh in the last years of his life. He was so generous that he could not keep his wealth in his hands and became poorer.

The childhood of little Samad was very miserable. When he was 6 years old, his mother Mahbub khanum died at the age of 28. Samad lives under the patronage of his father Yusuf Agha and his grandmother Aisha khanum. Ayse-khan's father-poet's father, Mahdihan Agha, was a poet known in his country as a Kuhanis nickname. The prominent Azerbaijani poet, the cousin of the Karabakh khan Ibrahim Khan Molla Panah Vagif (1719-1797) also belonged to this family.
The poet spent his childhood in his native village and received his first education at the village school.
In 1918, prominent literary critic and educator Firudin bey Köçarli Gori organized a seminar of teachers in Gazakh, transferring the Azerbaijani branch to Gazakh. The seminar was a progressive educational center. There were also brothers Samad and Mehdixan Vakilov among the children of the village who were admitted to this school. The wife of Firudin bey Köcharyli, Badisabah khanum Vakilova (Köçerli), was a close relative of the poet.
In Samad Vakilov's youth he was interested in everything, sensitive, whimsical, body-weak, but also very strong, strong-willed, vigilant. From the very beginning of his education, the innate talent he had begun to show himself. In these years, he is also acquainted with the works of Vagif, Vidadi, Zakir and Sabir, works by A. Pushkin, YMLermontov and Turkish writers Tofig Fikret, Namiq Kemal, and Mohammed Amin. She sings well as she has a voice, skillfully tells poetry, and performs in amateur performances.
In 1922 the poet's father, Yusif Agha, and one year later his granddaughter Aysha khanim died. After that, Sema and her brother Mehdi Khan care for their daughter, Kangygu Vakilova.
At the seminar, he wrote his first poems. These were lyrical attachments, one of the forms of folk poetry. The poems he wrote were posted on the seminary wall.
The poem's first published work, "The appeal to the youth", was published in the New Idea newspaper in Tbilisi in 1925. He wrote this poem on the occasion of his retirement.
After completing the seminar, Samad Vakilov began teaching Azerbaijani language and literature in Ganja, Azerbaijan, in several villages and districts of Azerbaijan, including Gazakh, Guba and Nizami.
Poetry is gradually diminishing the existence of the poet. The young poet takes the pseudonym "Vurğun" because he loves his people, his homeland, the mysterious nature of his native land. He himself later wrote:

To love a person and nature,
Since I have a pencil hand and ...

In 1929, Samad Vurgun entered the Literature Faculties of the Second Moscow University. During his education in Moscow, he is actively engaged in creativity.
The political content and lyrical poems he wrote in those years were collected in his first book, The Vision of the Poet, published in 1930.
The 1930s and 1940s - the period of flourishing and rising of Vurgun's talent. In 1934 the poet's book "The Book of Hearts" and "Poems" in 1935 were published. During this period, the poet cleansed the language of our poetry from many foreign words and enriched our literature and drama with new works. Only in 1935 Samad Vurgun wrote 7 poems and nearly 100 poems. The poem "Azerbaijan", written in 1934, is one of the pearls of Azerbaijani literature. This poem reflects the ancient history of Azerbaijan, natural beauty, blessings, kindness, openness and hospitality of our people:
In the same year, innovation took place in Samad Vurgun's personal life. She has been married to Abdulla Shaig's spouse Khavar khanum Mirzabeyova.
He was a very caring and kind father. When his wife, Khavar Khanum, complained about the whims of children, Samad Vurgun said that I was deprived of parental care, and my children had grown freely.

In March 1956, Samad Vurgun was 50 years old. Our people are preparing for the anniversary of the poet. The Azerbaijani leadership has been named the "People's Poet of Azerbaijan" and for the first time it is named Samad Vurgun. On May 12, the opera and ballet theater will host a solemn jubilee evening of the poet with the participation of the USSR literary community and foreign guests. Two weeks after the jubilee celebration on May 27, 1956, the poet's eyes closed forever. The ruthless death of the poet has been steadfast in the life of the poet, and his soul, which is flared with the fire of creativity, forever silences. From May 28 to May 30, the poet's funeral will be held in the building of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall. During those days, all Azerbaijan was in mourning. For three days, our people came to visit the poet and the crowd of people was not interrupted. The poet is buried on May 30 in Honorary Alley in Baku.
In the days of the Mourning on behalf of the poet's family came the head telegrams from all corners of our country. In one of the following telegrams, he wrote: "Your consent must be that his new life - the poet immortality begins since the death of Samad Vurghun." That was the truth ...
The poet's name has died in different places after his death. The magnificent statue of the poet was erected in Baku, and one of the central streets was named after the poet. In addition, the Russian Drama Theater, the summer theater in the Seaside Park, and the oil tanker are named after Samad Vurgun. By the decision of Mossovet, one of the streets of Moscow, the library in Kiev, school No. 57 in Dushanbe, and the name of a poet in Bulgaria.
There are dozens of schools, cultural houses, streets, parks named after Samad Vurgun in all districts of our republic. In the past, many collective farms and sovkhozes were also named after the poet. Sculptures and busts of the poet have been set up in towns and villages. Various places of poetry and small museums have been created. Among them are the Samad Vurgun Museum created by the teacher Mammad Ashurov in his own yard at Gakh city.
