Landbot is a programme that allows you to make chatbots for your website, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. You can construct comprehensive conversational experiences using Landbot without writing any code.
Should you, nevertheless, employ Landbot to build your chatbots?
Let’s see what we can find out!

User-Interface Design

Landbot has a very user-friendly interface. It has a visual drag-and-drop interface that allows you to connect blocks. Each block represents a chatbot element, such as asking the user a question or providing a specific response:

You can also add conditions to your flow and deliver messages based on the responses to a certain query. When you ask someone their age, for example, you can send persons under 30 years old to message 1 and people over 30 years old to message 2.
There is one disadvantage, as with any flow builder: if you have a lot of flows, the quantity of alternatives becomes overwhelming, and you will likely lose sight of the big vision. That’s why Landbot created Bricks (which are quite useful!). Bricks allows you to divide your flows into smaller ones, allowing you to keep everything organised:

Another great feature of Landbot is that you can test your chatbot from inside the interface. A button with the word “Preview” appears at the top corner of your screen, and when you click it, a new window appears in which you can test the chatbot. There are two options in this preview: PC mode and mobile phone mode.

Landbot is like Chatfuel, includes a support button in the upper right corner. You may access their knowledge base right from their interface, which includes a number of articles on how to create a smart chatbot. When you’re stuck, this is a great feature to have.

Elements of a chatbot
Landbot offers a wide range of components for creating your own chatbot. There are just five aspects that they do not provide, which is quite impressive.

Users
It’s very simple to add custom fields to specific users in Landbot. You can ask users questions, and their responses will be saved in custom fields. Unfortunately, adding specific tags to users or creating specific user segments is not possible.
In terms of user segments, you can give a user a personalised message based on their response to a query (kind of segmentation). However, sending a message to a user based on several custom fields is not possible. As a result, I came to the conclusion that user segmentation is not possible.

Messages
It is not feasible to send broadcasts or sequences with Landbot . This is understandable, given that Landbot is mostly utilised for online chatbots.
Conditional logic is also available with their “Conditional Logic” block, which works flawlessly.
Landbot also allows you to create a chatbot in any language. They don’t offer multi-language support, but because Landbot allows you to swap between chatbots, you might create the following structure:
A common chatbot that asks for your language preference.
“Do you speak English or French?” for example.
If you respond with “French,” you will be directed to a French chatbot.
If you respond with “English,” the English chatbot is referred to you.
You may set the default words for each chatbot yourself (for example, if someone types the erroneous e-mail address), so that isn’t an issue. The disadvantage of this strategy is that it requires physical labour, which takes a long time and involves duplication.

NLP & AI
When someone types a specific keyword into Landbot , you can immediately respond. The Keyword Jump and Global Keywords are two Landbot features that help with this. When a user asks a question, the chatbot developer uses Keyword Jump to determine when the user is asking a question and then directs the user to the appropriate message:

The Global Keywords are unique. You can put up keywords that are valid for the entire flow (save for a specified moment, which is the case with Keyword Jump) with the Global Keywords element.
You may also integrate with Dialogflow if keyword matching alone isn’t enough for you. You may use Entities in your Landbot chatbot and comprehend the user’s intent with this integration.

Channels

You may use Landbot to build chatbots for your website, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp.
And the last platform is particularly intriguing because few chatbot makers support WhatsApp. Furthermore, the Landbot community claims that one of the key reasons they chose Landbot is because of the WhatsApp platform.

Integrations

Landbot comes with a built-in “Human takeover” integration, which is the most crucial feature of any chatbot programme. You can forward the interaction to a human using this integration, who will manage the rest of the conversation using live chat.
They also include Zapier (which allows you to connect with any software on the planet), Integromat, Google Sheets, and Webhooks interfaces.

Marketing
Landbot’s biggest feature, in my opinion, is the conversational experience you can design on your own website. With any other chatbot builder, I’ve never seen a more engaging chatbot experience on a website than with Landbot.
You may integrate your chatbot to your website in a variety of formats using their native widget:

With Landbot, you can also create your own landing pages.

image.png

You may also use Facebook Ads to connect your chatbot. Having said that, I believe Landbot’s marketing potential on Facebook is very limited. You can also use Facebook’s One-Time Notification feature to instantly respond to comments. Both of these things, however, are not achievable with Landbot.

Pricing

Landbotoffers a free plan that allows you to try out the platform. You get 100 chats each month with this free service, and you can build a rudimentary chatbot for your website.
You can start with Landbot’s Starter plan if you think it’s a suitable fit for you. This subscription is €24 per month and includes 500 monthly chats as well as the ability to create chatbots for your website and Facebook Messenger:

You’ll need to upgrade to their Professional plan if you want more functionality and wish to construct WhatsApp chatbots. This subscription costs €64 per month and includes 2500 monthly talks as well as all of the Landbotplatform’s features.
Aside from that, you should be aware that creating a chatbot on WhatsApp incurs additional expenses (€120 per month):

Analytics

image.png

Landbot’s metrics are rather basic. It has a rudimentary dashboard that shows the number of current and new chats, as well as the amount of messages received and sent:
Aside from that, you can observe all of the users (along with their characteristics) who have interacted with your chatbot.

image.png

The Flow metrics, though, are the greatest part. You can observe how users progressed through your chatbot flow and where they stopped in Landbotper chatbot. If your first question is “How old are you?” for example, this dashboard provides a beautiful overview of people’s responses. This is a fantastic feature.
Landbot, however, does not have any integrations with eCommerce systems. They do have a Stripe integration (though not in the free plan), so you may accept payments through your chatbot.

Cloning & Templates

Landbotoffers 66 templates to help you get started with creating your own chatbot. Unfortunately, you will not be able to build your own templates and share them with others.
However, you can duplicate your chatbot processes and pieces so that you can reuse them quickly.

Conclusion

Do you want to create chatbots for WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, as well as a highly engaging experience on your website? If that’s the case, Landbotis the chatbot builder for you.
If you want to construct a chatbot on your website, Landbot, in my opinion, surpasses other chatbot builders.
Apart from websites, one of the most compelling reasons for people to utilise Landbotis their WhatsApp connectivity, which is something that few other chatbot builders offer.
