One of those early rising, stormy, fridged mornings. One of those, I don’t want to get out of the cozy sleeping bag and put on chilly, stiff closes kinda mornings. One of those, this is what I came here for, so GET UP mornings. You’ve all had them I’m sure.
Those rough conditions actually work to a landscape photographers benefit when capturing a scene. It’s those conditions that lead to sensational atmospheric circumstances. Out of adversity, comes the light. Quite literally.
As I worked my way towards a predetermined area, these mud cracks caught ambient light from the sun that wasn’t quite up yet. They seemed to have a soft, subtle glow. Setting up a longer exposure allowed the hues to saturate the camera sensor. What a sight.
