landscapephotography - Helgoland with Düne

When i visited Helgoland this year in May, i did not only take pictures of animals but also pictures from the nice landscape there. Not every landscape is so beautiful there and some hills are filled with bomb craters from the second world war. Helgoland was bombed by the English people because the Germans had a lot of research for long distance rocket launchers to attack London from there.

The Düne, the second island of Helgoland is only some hundred meters from the Helgoland mainland and can be reached by ferry. I was there nearly every day because on the Düne you can watch and photograph birds with not that much of an effort. The people in helgoland are pretty nice and you can ask them nearly everything. Most of them live from the tourists that visit the small island every day by ferry. On the Düne there is also an Airport.
