Hi Everyone

I do business with a developer in Canada who builds laneway houses. They are small standalone fully ready for occupancy houses that homeowners can add to their lot in the back yard behind their main house. 



This just became the next big thing in a hugely overheated Canadian real estate market.

Canada has an affordable housing crisis right now, especially on the West Coast. Some cities and municipalities relax their bylaws and regulations, change zoning and remove restrictions, specifically favouring this kind of construction. In some cities and provinces it becomes a new trend. It was unthinkable up until very recently - back lane small houses, or laneway houses as they are called sometimes. The red tape, very tight regulations and very stiff city planning was virtually impossible to penetrate. But luckily the tide has changed and you can be a part of it too!

If the property owner has a house on a lot of enough size and there is a back yard with a back lane access - it is now a prime opportunity for the real estate owners, developers and of course investors.
