A new batch of knapped knives

Our store just got a new batch of hand knapped knives. It may be the last from this gentleman.

I don't normally post about new inventory but these were just too cool not to. They made by a gentleman who lives in Texas. His craft is superb. He owns land in Angel Fire NM Where he finds; Obsidian, Flint, Agate, and Ryolite. He usually goes up there in March or April and hunts for the pieces he wants. He takes them to his trailer in Eagle Nest NM where he sits making knives, arrowheads, and spearheads.

Occasionally, he'll find a jaw bone to use for his handles.

These will sell very fast. Other handles he has made from bone, antlers. and Saguaro Cactus.

The artwork pieces are something new from him.

There were two of these, but one sold before I even had a chance to put them on the shelves.

Another interesting one that he sent was this very sparkly knife.

It is made from Gold stone.

This is a man made material. I think he must have picked it up from a show or other rock shop. Still very cool.

Unfortunately, he gave me the sad news that he may not be making them any more. His arthritis has really bothering his hands and he can't do the twisting motion it takes to knapp. We're praying and hoping for relief for him.
