On May 31, 1921, the government bombed and killed between 300 in up to thousands of Black people,after a Black man was accused of assaulting a white elevator operator. Over the course of two days, the government set fire to homes, businesses and churches in Tulsa Oklahoma (now known as Greenwood Oklahoma), a thriving Afrikan business district(Black Wall Street)When the smoke cleared, the area lay in ruins. Many of our ancestors left and never returned.
