I think it's clear that I'm in favor of a massive overhaul in the way we do policing in this country , and in favor of moving some of the functions that police now perform (mental health crises, etc) to appropriately trained professionals. (This is the movement that is generally known by the less than clear moniker "Defund the police".)
This is a cartoon that ran in the newspaper "The Missourian". At least we can say the opposition to redistributing police duties isn't exactly subtle about the message they want to leave in the public's mind.
"No, America doesn't still have a serious racism problem, why do you ask?"
The senior editor that elected to run this cartoon stepped down after the other two editors (his daughters) resigned in protest over the cartoon being published.
