In Nigeria, laws are not taken in high esteem as such we find a lot of irregularities. People tend to do things the way want, not the way is ought to be done.
The constitution seems to be an abstract entity rather than a pragmatic entity. This is because even the lawmakers/legislators are not far from this truth.
The common citizen in his ignorance of the law receives the heat of the law, while the bourgeoisie pays his way through the law. A poor man steals maggi and he's beg beaten while senators are stealing very heavily, and they are being celebrated.
How autonomous is the Judiciary in its application of the law to all and sundry? Is it actially independent?
With the advent of “brand new politicians” that have taken up the leadership of Nigeria for over two years now.
I now ask this question, is their any hope for the masses? We relly on the help of God we ask him to bless our country. Amen.
Nigeria is a funny place. Anything goes. Quite sad
