Laziness | Rant 001
I was just feeling wide awake and was excited for the day. Then i realized that there is some stuff I needed to do.
All of a sudden I started feeling really tired, and wanted to call it a night. It’s interesting how our whole physiology changes, when it comes time to doing things that we don’t want to do.
I had the realization that a lot of people must be experiencing this. People who get called lazy or procrastinators are really being forced by their body not to do the things they should be doing.
BUT with anything doing with the mind or body, habits can be be broken.
Our brain will force us to do things that bring us pleasure. Our minds resist putting ourselves in situations that bring even the most temporary of pain.
So what we must do is get in the habit of doing things that we don’t want to do. Push through the feeling of not wanting to do the thing, and just get it done.
And what’s crazy is that you’ll actually feel really good with yourself after getting thing it done. So go out and get shit done. There will be a bit of discomfort and maybe even some pain, but you’ll feel good and have a sense of accomplishment afterwards.
