"LBRY is a free, open, and community-run digital marketplace.

You own your data. You control the network. Indeed, you are the network.

Hollywood films, college lessons, amazing streamers and more are on the first media network ruled by you."

LBRY is a market place for digital content such as videos, music, ebooks, programs, and more. What makes it different from other media services like YouTube, is that it is decentralized, open, and free for anyone. No one will ever be unable to share something on LBRY, there is no censorship, because there can't be. LBRY uses blockchain technology so it isn't run by a central company. Also, there is no organization taking half of the money you make like YouTube.
LBRY is a protocol, but also there is an app made by the LBRY team that you can use to easily access LBRY to find and publish content, and also have a LBC wallet. Other people can also make apps to access LBRY, just like here on Steemit there are other ways to use it like eSteem.
You can get LBC (LBRY coins) by trading, mining, selling content, or as rewards for trying out the LBRY marketplace. You can use LBC to purchase content, or to publish your own content.
Download the LBRY app on their website https://lbry.io

its a great protocol, i remember around june after it almost hit $1 with a market cap of almost 65-66 million..great upward trend:):)

Dtube is different tho. You can't charge people for videos. You only get money if people chose to give you like 1¢ with an upvote. On LBRY you can give stuff for free, or charge how ever much you want. If you make movies, or short films, or TV show type things, you might want to charge just a little for them. On LBRY you can, and they don't take any of your profits.

I know they are different but like dtube.video better maybe my love of steemit is too much?
