The yew plum pine, botanical name podocarpus macrophyllus, is a coniferous tree in the genus podocarpus, family podocarpaceae.

It is also known as the Buddhist pine or fern pine, and native to southern Japan, southern and eastern China, and is the northernmost species of its genus.

Yew plum pine lives in forests, open bushes, and along roadsides.

Especially in Japan and the southeastern United States, this plant is a popular large shrub or small tree in gardens.
