Andean oak, whose botanical name is quercus humboldtii, is a species of oak native to Colombia and Panama.

Also called Colombian oak or roble, it is an evergreen tree with a height of 25 meters and a trunk up to 1 meter thick.

The leaves are simple, alternate, lanceolate, 10 to 20 cm long, and clustered at the ends of the branches.

The seeds are an important food for wildlife. Parrots, especially those endemic to the mountains, depend heavily on Andean oak forests as homes.
