Acitrón Barrel Cactus (Ferocactus Histrix)

Acitrón barrel cactus, whose scientific name is ferocactus histrix, is a species of ferocactus native to Central Mexico.

This cactus grows as a sphere without branches and can exceed 1 meter in height after a few years.

In mature plants, the epidermis is blue-green.

This cactus produces medium-sized yellow flowers in the spring and fruits usually ripen in the summer.
