The Bolivian torch cactus whose botanical name is echinopsis lageniformis, is a fast-growing columnar cactus from the high desert of Bolivia.
These plants usually have four to eight ribs, and are greenish to bluish in color.
It can reach 2–5 meters in height with stems up to 15–20 centimeters thick.
The lower parts are spiny and tend to form ribs, while the upper parts are smooth and boneless.
