Button fern, scientific name pellaea rotundifolia, is a species of fern endemic to New Zealand.

It is a compact evergreen fern that grows in thickets and forests.

This fern can have up to 30 pairs of round, dark green, leathery auricles on leaves up to 46 cm long.

Rotundifolia is a Latin nickname meaning "round leaves".
