Canary Islands ivy, scientific name Hedera canariensis, is a species of ivy native to the Canary Islands and possibly the Atlantic coast of North Africa.

Also called canary ivy or Madeira ivy, it is an evergreen perennial climbing or trailing woody plant shrub or bush.

The leaves are broad, 5-20 cm, of regular size and shape, shiny dark green and slightly leathery, with 1-5 leaflets.

This plant grows as a 20-30 m tall vine when suitable surfaces (trees, cliffs, walls, etc.) are available and as a ground cover plant when no vertical surface is available.
