Chinese privet, botanical name ligustrum lucidum, is a species of flowering plant in the family oleaceae.
It is also known as broad-leaf privet, glossy privet, tree privet or wax-leaf privet, and native to southern China and has naturalized in many places.
This plant is an evergreen tree up to 10 meters tall and is often used as a spotted ornamental tree.
It is often used as a dense, evergreen hedge and can be trained to a specific size and shape with regular pruning.
