Fortune's tea olive, scientific name osmanthus x fortunei, is an evergreen shrub from the family oleaceae.
It is a dense, oval-shaped evergreen shrub that can grow to a height of 20-25 inches. The leaves are dark green on top and lighter underneath.
On the upper part of the tree, the leaves are full, this is the mature leaf form. And the lower tree leaves tend to be serrated, this is the juvenile form.
