Goat Willow (Salix Caprea)

The goat willow, whose botanical name is salix caprea, is a common species of willow native to Europe, western and central Asia.

Also called pussy willow or great sallow, it is a deciduous shrub or small tree that grows 8 to 10 meters tall.

Its leaves are wider than most other willows, lightly hairy on top and densely hairy underneath, and persist into the fall.
