Kurogane holly (scientific name: ilex rotunda) is a tall evergreen tree in the holly family (aquifoliaceae).
This tree is native to East Asia and grows wild in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The leaves are leathery and boneless, and the fruits are bright red and dense.
It is native to sunny locations such as forest edges, and also grows wild in evergreen broadleaf forests and on mountain slopes.
