The Mexican organ pipe with the scientific name stenocereus griseus is a species of cactus.

Also known as dagger cactus, pitaya, and pitayo de mayo, it is found in Oaxaca and Veracruz, Mexico, on the coast of Venezuela, on the Guajira Peninsula in Colombia, and in the ABC islands of the Dutch Caribbean.

This tree-like cactus can grow up to 9 m tall with a trunk diameter of up to 12 cm.

Its fruits are edible, tasty, and an important resource for bats, birds, and other animals.
