Nerium with the botanical name nerium oleander is a shrub or small tree that is widely grown as a landscaping and ornamental plant in subtropical and temperate regions of the world.
Also called oleander, its natural habitat is along rivers and streams, hence the genus name nerium is taken from the Greek word for water, nẽros.
This plant has almond-like leaves but smaller and the flowers are rose-red .
The leaves are narrowly lanceolate, thick and rough textured, paired or triple circular, dark green.
They are 5 to 21 cm long and 1 to 3.5 cm wide, with the entire margin filled with the small reticulate veins that are characteristic of eudicots.
