Oriental bittersweet, whose scientific name is celastrus orbiculatus, is a woody vine of the Celastraceae family.
Also called Chinese bittersweet, Asian bittersweet, round-leaved bittersweet, and Asiatic bittersweet, it is native to China, Japan, and Korea.
The leaves are round, serrated at the edges, glossy, and alternate along the vine.
