Porcelainflower or wax plant with the scientific name hoya carnosa is an asclepiad species of flowering plant in the apocynaceae family.

This plant has been cultivated for over 200 years and has produced many varieties with different leaf shapes and flower colors.

Porcelainflowers produce slightly juicy buds that climb with a smooth, pale gray bare surface that wraps around them.

This species grows in moist subtropical forests and is found in Queensland, the East Indies, southern China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Japanese islands of Kyushu and Ryukyu, and the Fiji Islands.
