Aloe vera, with the botanical name also aloe vera, is a type of succulent plant of the genus aloe.
It is a stemless or very short-stemmed plant that grows to a height of 60 to 100 cm and spreads offset.
The plant is believed to be native to the southeastern Arabian Peninsula in the Hajar Mountains of northeastern Oman and eastern United Arab Emirates.
The leaves are green to gray-green, thick and fleshy, with white spots on the upper and lower surfaces of the stem, depending on the variety.
Acemannan of aloe vera is used in many products, including skin lotions, cosmetics, ointments, and gels for minor burns and skin abrasions.
