The parables of Jesus and the book of proverbs: Let the wise listen and add to their learning. Proverbs 1:5

The parables taught by Jesus bear a great resemblance to the discourses about wisdom in the first part of the book of Proverbs.
The Kingdom of Heaven begins when we hear the word, that is, we acquire wisdom: "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.", Proverbs 1:5-6.
As in the parables of the hidden treasure (Matthew 13:44) and the pearl of great price (Matthew 13:45-46), finding the grace of wisdom is the greatest prize:
"Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.", Proverbs 3:13-17.

God is the King who invites all men to live in communion with wisdom, in the story, wisdom is the son who marries (personified in Jesus), in the parable of the wedding banquet (Matthew 22:1-14): "Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech: ´How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?´" Proverbs 1:20-22.
As in the parable of the lamp (Mark 4:21-25), wisdom is spiritual guidance and enlightenment: "For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life.", Proverbs 6:23.
Also as in the parable of the mustard seed (Matthew 13:31-32), wisdom is a tree that bears fruit: "She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.", Proverbs 3:18.
