In the fast changing world, we need valuable knowledge from at all levels of employees. The question is always, how we select the best candidate, and how can we identify the real values.

Most of the companies using the traditional hire methodology, which has been used in the past 50 years. If a candidate has a university degree, it must be an ideal. But be honest, if we have an IT related degree from the seventies, is it still valid ?

I attended a conference, where one member of the Hungarian Scientific academy took a presentation. They mentioned three years, when a degree become obsolete.

As the world is changing fast, everyone needs life long learning, we need to learn continuously. To be this efficient the world needs an enhanced, digitalised education system. What would be the possible steps ?

Create a global universal identification system, where everyone has an education track record. Every educational institution must categorize all of their courses in an internationally agreed valuation system, which calculated on dependent values:

course topic
course difficulty level
course instructor knowledge, background on topic
course learning time
For a degree everyone can select their own courses, and degree depending on course points, after a point level we would be rewarded with a degree level. (BSC, MSC)

To maintain a level of quality, at the knowledge level we would create requirements on yearly points, which must be earned.

With this education system we would be able to:

create more colorful degrees
segregate more on job requirements
give the candidates better picture of what they need to learn
This would make a better, transparent job market. With the changing digitalised world, with the challenges of the automatisation we will need this change in the education system.

As robotics will come, the skill to be able to learn fast will be key skill in the survival. For this I think we need to change our educational system. Not only in the materials, but more on base concepts. The education must learn growth mindset concept, where we not measured on our abilities, more about our growth possibilities.

In the next few years I think those methodologies will come up which enhance the learning speed with new concepts, or more effective methods (like Hololens based visualisation)
