If you’re looking to improve the overall site performance you may want to do an off-page audit. These audits are usually focused on the links that point to your site. Google webmaster tools have an easy-to-use interface to help you analyze. For more advanced users, you can use Google's disavow tool to disavow any links that are pointing to your site.
