Firstly, let me apologise for what will probably end up being a bit boring, but I find it a little bit interesting, so here it comes anyway.
As you may already know, I run a little online Lego selling business via Bricklink (I also sell via a handful of other avenues, but Bricklink is my primary outlet).
I made my first Bricklink sale back 2015, for the princely sum of AU$0.64 - I know, I know, why didn't I rush out and buy that Lamborghini right then? I actually recall the sale fairly well. The buyer was a guy in Scotland, and he'd shipped an order to a buyer in Australia but was short a couple of pieces and worked out that it would be cheaper to buy the parts from me and have me ship them to his client directly, than to ship the parts from Scotland.
The 1 x 9 Technic Liftarm in Red will always hold a special place in my inventory (but don't feel you can't buy them).
Since that day I've had a total of 889 orders from around the world.
Unsurprisingly, primarily from here in Australia, but also 18 other countries. That actually makes for a pretty boring graph, but if I break down the Australian orders by State, it becomes a bit more insightful.
Again, it's no shock that Tasmania has the highest number of orders, after all that's where I live and it's convenient for other members of our LUG to collect from me in person - in fact, one particular member alone accounts for 57 orders on her own - but otherwise it's not a bad spread.
So as we venture into 2019 (I've already received a handful of orders this year), I'm excited to see where this little venture takes me. I'm hoping to have my first sale where I get paid in Steem or SBD (so hit me up at www.brickmanbrad.com.au if there's anything you need) this year, and I'd love to fill in some more countries on my World Map of sales.
Anyway, thanks for reading (if you're still awake), and remember....
Everything is Awesome!!!!
Bye for now.
