TAKEN STRAIGHT FROM MY INSTAGRAM FEED - TOY PHOTOGRAPHY

a big part of creating content for me is using my smart phone..... you really can create some great images that you can use on all your social channels... One of my hobbies is Toy Photography. This image is taken from my Instagram feed and it is some Lego Star Wars figures. I took the image on my Htc One M8 mobile and as you can see got a pretty good result.... it is the location that really sold the image

Let me know what you think of this image, i will post some of my macro shots soon !

Great point. Good job

I wonder how good Steemit will be as a site for photographers. As they only appear as thumbnails in the stream and just about every post has a picture to get attention they won't stand out so much. Still, this was worth 5c :)

the value for me is that this site ranks well on Google

It certainly does. Something Tsu never managed. Of course views on their own don't help. Steemit needs to build users, but it's not simple for all to understand. I've heard it's got 75k users and Hypestat suggests about half are active. That's good retention so far. Will people stick around if they don't make much?

That's interesting. How did you determine that, @infobunny? I have no idea how I would figure that out. That bodes well, because TSU stuff, even with lots of hashtags, never showed up when I search for specific topics.

Check under the photography tab and see what some photos -- single photos -- are getting, @stevec. One photo can be worth more than 2 years of TSU! Of course, most don't get that, but like you said, the payout for @infobunny here was better than most TSU posts already. How about that? The photography on TSU was so good, too. I miss that. -- Haphazard Homestead, formerly of TSU.

I can see posts earning a lot when it's not even original photos. It really depends on whether you know a whale or they just decide to vote you up. I only made a couple of cents on most posts and some make nothing. I'm made a few friends here whose vote is maybe worth a cent, but posts that say you might get that much often get nothing. No big deal. I will try to build communities here who will support each other, as I did on Tsu.

I agree, after TSU, seeing photos that aren't original content just bores me and makes me sad, even with good writing. I've come to loathe seeing stock photos. I'd much rather see authentic experience. I also agree about building our communities. Steem on! : )
