As I walked up to Cheescote last week I passed by the entrance to Letchworth Village. If you happen to be a fan of various shows dealing with hauntings it has been featured and it is a popular UrbEx destination. Some buildings have been repurposed or demolished. I had a chance to go in some of the buildings many years ago. I can’t say if they’re haunted but it didn’t smell right in there and I felt uneasy. The buildings stand as a landmark to the sad history of how mental illness was treated.
I always thought the buildings looked beautiful on the outside. They are what I picture a late 19th century college should look like with ivy climbing the walls. Compared to the modern psychiatric hospital in the area, which looks terrifying at night, Letchworth looks serene. So, for alteration of the pic I wanted to give it a more ominous tone. I want it to say “If you go inside, you’re not coming out!”

I will have to see if either if those shows visited it, it does sound familiar though. I like it.
