South Africa has the most liberal attitudes toward gays and lesbians, with a constitution that guarantees gay and lesbian rights, and legal same-sex marriage.
LGB rights in East Africa in particular Kenya, same-sex- sexual activity in males is illegal and the penalty is up to 14 years imprisonment, females are not specifically covered by the penal code, there is no recognition in same-sex relationships, same-sex marriage is not mentioned on 2010 constitution and same-sex adaption is prohibited. I believe lack of acceptance towards homosexual youths is resulting in stigma and psychological disturbances towards them which can result in drug abuse, prostitution, HIV/AIDS, and breaking of home or marriages.
This research will help us know what really is happening among the gay community and how we can embrace and accept them for who they are despite their sexual orientation, that is why I will identify the course and come up with the factor influencing homosexuality in youths of Africa and a solution that will benefit gay community and society at large.

This study will educate the society and make them understand homosexuality, sexual orientation, and why one would prefer to be homosexual and have the fact before we judge them, to minimize the stigmatization and labeling that the Gay community goes through.
