Critical Thinking Does Not Apply When Talking About Government

Most people don't think about government period, all they think about is what video game they are gonna play. This is all fine in dandy to live your life, but when a ruler is trying to control what video games you play and changes how much it cost's (thanks to regulations and licensing) Then I would hope you would want to play video games in a free and voluntary society rather then one that is using coercion. Whatever your habits may be they are effected by current rulers, they will tax people and they will try to control their actions. Whether the habit is good or bad you have a right to do it as long as it is not harming others or their property. A good example would be cigarettes, most people if had the chance would raise the taxes so high that nobody would buy them, but of course that is not how reality works as a black market or "free market" would form for cigs. Imagine if the government was out of the cigarette industry completely, cigarettes would probably cost somewhere around 4 to 5 dollars a pack and that is still a lot of money. This all comes back to our habits whether good or bad should be free of coercion, using and threatening people with force when they have not harmed anyone or anyone's property is wrong and we should not be allowing it. Just because you gave authority over yourself to an organization does not mean you can force your beliefs upon me. The reason I say that people don't have critical thinking when it comes to government is because of these facts I just showed. Most of the time if you talk to someone and say if your gonna build on your house should you have to come to me and ask permission? Most people would say no, but when you say so why should you have to go ask government and they say well blah blah blah. This is mind blowing to me, but this is why maybe they don't like to teach critical thinking in school. If we want to change minds and convince people that they do not need government and that government is immoral and should be abolished we have to get people to think critically. Thanks for reading!
