The first story of this kind happened in Houston. This one took place in Utica, New York.
An aspiring grey market entrepreneur, who goes by Kem, sold 110 printed lower receivers and frames, at The New York Attorney General’s gun buy back program making $21,000 in gift cards. This is nearly 7x as much as the anonymous gun smith in Houston made with 62 printed bottom receivers. While most people familiar with guns on this space might be amused by the obvious stupidity of these buyback programs you have to realize they do this because the ATF considers non-functioning receivers and frames as unserialized “ghost guns.”
