Working on a project, looking for input

I am a machinist by trade, and by nature a very creative person.  I often get in trouble because I would rather try to build it myself than go out and purchase it. I spend some time looking as DIY pages for ideas.  Recently I ran across lichtenberg wood burning.  It’s a very dangerous process  but I fre I could build it with safety in mind.   Any ideas
