My dear Sammi, what a most stunning piece of writing. I mean, all your texts are excellent, but this one is just simply incredible. My favorite so far. It speaks to me because it touches very much on what I work with: the understanding and acceptance of the past in the present moment in order to prepare for a fruitful future.
People just desire their wounds to disappear, get stuck in that desire and ... nothing else happens. Then, they think it's because of that past wound and rumminate and obsesses about it (instead of moving on) ... oh! some of us get stuck in this pattern for months and years!
That opening line couldn't be more beautiful and touching! It's already on my notepad ;)
Much love Sammi, from rainy and cold Portugal :*
My dear Abbey, I'm so honoured by your wonderful comment.
I normally tell people that they need to make peace with their past so that it will not haunt their future, but they also need to draw lessons from their past so as to have a better future.
Thanks for coming around Abbey. Much love to you from harmattan Naija
