Yes, I did put "moonshine" on the title. We did make some moonshine this weekend. But not for us to drink. LOL. We are having a cancer benefit for Brad's cousin this coming Saturday and we are making a basket that has moonshine peanut brittle, a shirt with the Tennessee moonshine logo on it, glass mason jars with handles and our homemade apple pie moonshine. Before you call the authorities, we are NOT distilling alcohol. We are basically taking liquor from a store, juice, spices and then blending them all together to get our "mixed drink". :) But this drink is oh so good.
It was the hubs birthday this weekend so we went out with Brad's family for lunch....Caleb got this hilarious drink that had apple soda, a ton of sugar, topped with cotton candy. In the photo below, it had quite a bit MORE cotton candy topped on the drink, but this mom LOVES cotton candy and couldn't keep her paws off.
Before we left we wrestled with the idea of how the neighbor's cat got up in the tree and just how exactly he was planning on getting down. We have a birds nest with baby birds much higher in the tree and I assume the cat was going after them, I came to this educated guess by watching what I assume was momma bird having a severe fit and trying to peck at this cat from the next branch over.
He is waaayyy up there. He's almost at the top of the roof of our house, he's so high.
We decided to go get ready to go to lunch and check on him when before we leave, but much to our surprise, he had gotten down from the large tree. So we were grateful for that. :)
Also this weekend I received an item I ordered from Amazon that was basically wooden pegs that you stick to the wall, tie string around each peg and then attach photos to it with the provided little wooden clips. But I decided to use it for Caleb's Pokemon room decor. I am slowly redecorating his playroom in the Pokemon theme and this was my first item on the list.
I absolute despise this wooden panel wall. It so dreary, but I am needing to just work with what I have for now since the remodel is still another year away. So I just went with it. I think it added some character to it....just a bit. :)
And that was basically all there was to the weekend. I have played with the pallet from my Boxy Charm subscription this weekend and came out with two good eye looks that I want to show you. So keep on the look out for that post.
But for now, that's all there is for us. I hope you all had a beautiful weekend and will come back and visit me again tomorrow. Until next time, take care.
