I believe, kind-hearted person will have the same answer for this question. It will be "Yes, of course, we did!" But, pray only will not be enough. The survivors there need our hands more than our pray. They are starving, thirsty, sick, desperate, grieve, lost of hope, and traumatised. They do need our support. They not only need logistic, but also need a trauma healing. This disaster is so terrible! Killer.
As one of the person who used to be involved in the tsunami recovery project in Aceh, and experienced in this disaster in 2004, I can feel exactly what they felt. This feeling driven me to be there, to be with them, to say that they are not alone. To let them know that we, their brothers and sisters in other part of Indonesia, or even in around the world are praying for them, and are collecting donation to help and finding out the way to send the logistic, to send the support.
But, since the area to reach there is still difficult to reach, unreachable because of the disaster has locked the access, we can not help them directly. Let's pray, while collecting the donation and find the right way to help them. They are our brothers and sisters.
