Chicken Pox? And Sunsets.
Yeah you read that right, one of my triplets broke out in itchy bumps that have spread. The family has skin sensitivities, so we washed bedding and took action. But they kept spreading even with Benadryl/antihistamine.
Well they became very itchy over two days. Last night I had to make a run for the pink lotion.
I got the stores very last three bottle too, one for each kid.
Well on the way to WalMart, the only store open at midnight, we seen beautiful pink skies.
Then on the way home we seen this sunset behind Denali, and one across a lake. I have never been able to get the sun setting behind the mountain. Because of how the sun passes across Alaska. You have to time it just right and have clear sky.
Well when we got home I put the pink pokadots all over the poor kid. Let me play the pitty song for him, “oh poor baby, awww” and repeat until they are annoyed. 🎶🎻🎶 I had chicken pox three times, I understand the suckiness of it. But man he was hamming it up last night! This morning is better though I have to admit, but man before the pink stuff he was really trying to play me.
In the last two days they have spread, two days ago he had 8 spots. Yesterday 36 spots, this morning he has 46 spots. Edit: we found 52 after putting the pink stuff on.
They first started on his chest, then belly, to the legs and back.
Am I 100% sure it’s chicken pox, no. But I have taken action for other possibilities and it kept spreading. If it’s not the pink stuff isn’t going to hurt or kill him for use.
Just gotta watch of a feaver, I bought tyonal for that too.
This is the biggest one he has right now, it showed up overnight.
He says they itch more this morning, but he isn’t as fussy about it. Yes a 10 year old can get fussy, and do the tired tantrum after a midnight run to the store.
Well that’s what’s going on here. Hope you all are well in health and are well.

Having had chicken pox as a kid, I think I can safely say that it sucks! That itching is as bad as poison ivy...

It does suck! He is doing so much better, he is just having the sprattic shocks of itch now.
I don’t think I ever had any poison ivy, or sumac. I have touch nettle, that was like an electrical shock to me.
