Random Thoughts - 0013

Not much to explain.
100k people die of hunger every day (including 40k children under 10).

Many reasons to that :

  • European / American (rich) countries subsidize their agriculture, making it cheaper for african / asian countries to import those products instead of developing their own agriculture system, causing a lot of damages since 50 years now.
  • Speculation on raw products making importations not affordable for countries who might need it, while multinational corporations make money from these price manipulations, with no usefulness to society whatsoever.
  • The International Monetary Funds that forbids the countries it's "helping" to manipulate price for food products, hence not authorizing governments to help their population fight against extreme poverty and hunger.

There would be a lot more to say, but it might require a full article, that was just a sample.
